Google search will include Gmail results

Google has announced that it is starting a trial which includes Gmail in its search engine results.
The search giant launched the optional trial in an effort to further improve its service. Users will be able to see relevant emails alongside the regular results when searching via Google's engine. See also: Broadband news.
Google said: "Sometimes the best answer to your question isn't available on the public webit may be contained somewhere else, such as in your email. We think you shouldn't have to be your own mini-search engine to find the most useful informationit should just work."

The results will appear on the right hand side of the page next to the normal results and users will be able to expand the box to read emails.
Google is also working on more features. "For example, if you search for [my flights] we will organize flight confirmation emails for any upcoming trips in a beautifully easy-to-read way right on the search results page" it said.
The firm also said it is launching its Knowledge Graph for English speaking countries outside of the US. This huge database of more than 500 million people, places and things with 3.5 billion attributes hopes to improve search.
